This is an email I received in an email chat of Military Veterans. I felt that it was very interesting coming from someone who would know.

  Republicans vs Democrats.

I am originally from a Democratic State... Massachusetts...

I grew up oblivious to the political scheme until I returned from Vietnam and was discharged from the Marines in 1971.

Henceforth, however, I began paying attention to what was going on in my world.

I watched the Democrats' shenanagens until the 90s wherein they pulled their greatest sham upon the voters.

The citizenry forced an item on the ballot with petitions that so overwhelmed the required number of signatures that the politiboro couldn't say no.

The item was voted on, and voted into law by such a MAJORITY of voters that the legislators had no choice but to follow the demands of the populance.

However, they weren't finished, not yet.

While the "Campaign Finance Law" went into effect, the politicians "Made the Funding for the law Go Away", in effect, making the law useless.

At which point I moved out of Massachusetts, not wanting my tax dollars to go toward their scams any longer.

I voted at every election, and watched the results of those elections carefully.

The general populance, being so "Kennedy" in their Democrat leanings, couldn't find it in their heads to vote against the very people who were laughing in their faces. Hiring family and business partners into Gov't positions that they knew little to nothing about.

I watched Dukakis, and his cronies pull their stupid stuff, and when he ran for President, I was traveling all over the western United States, and told everyone at every chance about his antics in the State House in Massachusetts. I hope I had some little part in his not getting elected.

I was raised Democrat... However, for years now, I have PROUDLY claimed the mantra of being a Staunch Ronald Reagan Republican.

Semper Fidelis (Oh Yeah, I'm a Marine)
